I have got Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to help me produce the images for my website. Having thought about the bulletin board on my home page, i realised this was following too closely what i had seen on the websites i'd researched. I needed something that would better fit my overall project. After some deliberation i have decided to photoshop an old looking mirror, in replacement of a bulletin board. the photos i will edit on to the glass of the mirror so that the mirror has been covered by pictures of a woman in her younger years. This will show an instant impression of the feelings i wish to convey, a woman who would rather think of herself wehen younger, that as she ages. i will however have one or a few photos of an elderly woman, linking to soundclips of my grandmother telling jokes, and love poems about a woman who has been with the same man for a great number of years - the brighter side to aging basically. Some women are willing to embrace growing old so i don't want my piece to be too one sided and focus on the awkward transition time of middle age too much.
i have had an offer of help from a photographer so my photos will be of a commercial website's quality.
The kind of mirror i am thinking of:
This is based on an original copy i found on another website which is protected by copyright. I have edited the picture already (duplicated both sides to make the even and rotated for example) and when i am finished with it, it will be covered with other pictures. However i have emailed the website owner to ask permission to use her image as a basis point, although im not sure if her copyright covers this image or not. Better to be safe than sorry i suppose.
Struggling to put video on my website, need to download premiere pro in order to put sound over video.
This project is far too technical for what i've ever come across.
